I actually downloaded Hoof Beat after reading this. It's surprisingly good if you're into furry porn. The pinup of Luna on the last page is pretty hawt...

To be fair, looking at the style of art in Hoof Beats, I'm pretty sure at least a few of the artists are female.

The food porn one just confuses me. The description of Onion Ring Pony just makes me hungry, not horny...

How can you tell that at least one artist is female? I'm honestly curious, since I tend to assume if there's sexuality then it's a male artist due to the fact that women don't need porn when they can have sex whenever they want.

Because Women are just as sick and depraved as us men, but their style usually differs and is a bit more artsy and not that in your face crass about it . .

I can at least buy the "artsy and less crass" part of that analysis.

Their style also tends to be softer and more rounded.

There should be a betting pool on how long before Count just buys one of those fuckable pony dolls.

Or makes one from scavenged pelts or something, whatever he can afford.

Cite? Er, for the second part. I'm not so interested about the depravity.

I have never noticed a gender bias in art styles and it sounds interesting if true.

Actually, if someone actually gave me something my head would explode. Last time I got anything for my birthday was nearly 20 years ago. I don't actually expect people I barely know to get me jack shit if friends, family, girlfriends and wives (may they never meet) don't want to get me anything.

And Zecora shows again just to be an utter bitch. And they really need to get a grasp on Rarity. Is she really generous, or a parsimonious hoarder?

I am amused that they went through the negotiations with every pony except Applejack. Again, they just want to shove her off-screen.

So, I'm playing an Arachan (spider person) necromancer now in my friend's runequest game. I've also been listening to the Brilliant Gameologists podcast a bunch lately, and so decided that I wanted her to be a librarian who just happened to be sent on an adventure (the fact that it was a fact-finding mission works well).

This has culminated in the idea to play her like Twilight Sparkle, just as a necromancer. I slipped a bit last night (I pretty much always roleplay myself), so I think I need to watch a bunch of Twilight centric episodes before Saturday.

I played a similar character. She called Animate Dead "a magic spell that makes anyone my best friend forever and ever". She had a spellstitched black dragon wyrmling familiar.

My necromancer's familiar is a talking skull named Bob. I should totally start referring to creating undead as making friends.

She's also about to take on an apprentice, it seems.

This may be relevant to your interests, its AU, and I haven't read much, but it seemed amusing:
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/61891/a ... les-of-war
One warning, it is very AU, and ditched some of the main characters for background ponies. There is no exposition dump at the beginning that explains the differences either, though that is often a plus.

@Stahlseele- I did as well, but I wasn't sure if it was the off characterizations, the vague moral (after still reeling from the anvil of a moral they dropped last week with Discord & Fluttershy), the economic implications of Spike's diet, or just the fact that it was a Spike episode, and he's often fucking boring.

The animation didn't help any either. At points Spike looked slightly older (or at least his limbs were longer), but his size in relation to the ponies was anything but constant throughout the episode. I don't even usually notice that, but it was pretty egregious this time.

When evil Twilight Sparkle bit it, I had evil rarity (beguiler/wizard/magus) and evil fluttershy (druid) sketched up.
